From time to time a meet people who have taken kickboxing classes elsewhere and they did not feel like they got the best workout. Most recently I spoke to a women who had to make sure with me that we had enough bags for everyone. I assured her we did.  There is not waiting in line, they is no down time in our fitness kickboxing classes. We like to have 2 people per punching bag and if the class is small enough everyone has their own. Now of course you can slow down a little if you feel you need to. We always have people signing up into our class and I make sure they understand they should not try and keep pace with the people who have been doing this for years. You have to start and push yourself at your pace. We give you the means and the ability to do just that. Are you looking for a workout? Look no further. TEACHING CORRECT TECHNIQUE

Our fitness kickboxing classes are taught by instructors that have many years of training experience.  I want to make one point about our classes. It is not just punching there plenty of kicking techniques during the class as well. Now our kickboxing classes are taught by the same instructors that teach our karate classes. Which means when you are doing your kickboxing class we can not only help you with punching correctly, but we can help you with the more difficult part which is kicking. I get to talk to a lot of instructors from around the county and one thing I have heard often is the kickboxing programs that are taught by karate guys are usually better because they understand the body mechanics of kicking and punching. We help you understand how to use your core when you punch and kick which increases your workout! There is not a problem you can have or a mistake you can make that we haven't. So we know exactly how to help you because we have been there and done that. Come on in and try a class and you will see what I mean.

Getting back into the swing of things

Summer is officially over and its back to school time. This is when everyone has to get back on schedule and it can be difficult sometimes. The best advise I can give you is to just do it. It might be painful mentally or physically, but once you get started it will be easier. Its just taking that first step that is the toughest. Starting anything in life is the toughest part. Here are some examples: Working out, new school schedule, new work schedule, starting your day at work, starting your to do list at home, cleaning.... The list goes on and on. We have all heard someone say "im on a roll". They will start a task and they just get into a rhythm and whatever they are doing just seems to get done easier, or faster, or to them it seems like it is taking less effort. Well getting started was the hard part and once they got going it was easier. One last example is your car. Think about getting your car up to speed. That part is what requires the most energy from your engine. If you are familiar car terms, this is when your RPMS are the highest! But once you get up to speed your engine has to put out less power to keep you going. Less RPMS less effort but your still going 30, 40, 50 miles per hour.

Motivation gets you started

We are just coming off of a holiday weekend and it is always hard to " get back into the swing of things". This is why it is important to create habits. You see motivation will get you started, but you must create habits to keep you going. You have to create a habit of motivating yourself every day.  Or have a routine and be happy about going back to the routine after a longer then usual break.  I will leave you with this and I hope it will help. Try to stay focused on your goal.  For example if you want to lose weight. You should be excited about getting back to your workout routine after a holiday weekend because this means you are taking more steps towards reaching your goal. You might not enjoy the difficult workout, but you will be happy about the results. So don't focus on the pain of the workout, focus on the result :)
